Brooke McLaughlin, MD, MPH is a board-certified pediatrician, entrepreneur, and passionate advocate for children with ADHD. She is the Founder and Principal Clinician at the Birdrock Center for ADHD, a private practice offering a strengths-based, multimodal approach to ADHD care for children and families.
Dr. McLaughlin is deeply committed to reframing how children with ADHD understand themselves—and how the world understands them—by focusing on strengths, self-efficacy, and multi-modal, evidence-based support.
Founder of Birdrock Center for ADHD
As the Founder of Birdrock Center for ADHD, Dr. McLaughlin offers a clinical model that integrates medical expertise, school advocacy, behavioral strategies, parent education, and innovative tools to support children with ADHD. Her work emphasizes personalized care plans that help children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally – at school, at home and in life.
Research, Innovation & The ADHD Playbook
Dr. McLaughlin serves as a Faculty Affiliate at the Dartmouth Center for Technology and Behavioral Health, where her research focuses on parent and clinician perspectives on innovative ADHD support tools.
She is the creator and author of The ADHD Playbook, a clinic-based support tool created to empower parents with practical strategies and guidance. She is currently leading early feasibility and acceptability studies evaluating its impact on families navigating ADHD care as well as the primary care clinicians treating ADHD in their practices.
Her research has been supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and Dartmouth’s Department of Community and Family Medicine. Dr. McLaughlin has presented her work both nationally and internationally.

Recipient of the Lombard Service Fellowship for advocacy work supporting children with ADHD and learning differences
Earned MD/MPH from Dartmouth Medical School
Completed pediatric residency training at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center
Completed fellowship training via the T32 HRSA supported Dartmouth Primary Care Fellowship, with a focus on optimization of ADHD care in primary care settings
Leadership & Professional Experience
Dr. McLaughlin has held leadership roles in biotechnology and healthcare innovation. She served on the founding management teams of two biotech startups, including Compass Therapeutics.
At Dartmouth Health, she co-founded the ADHD Service at Dartmouth Hitchcock’s Lebanon campus, where she provided care to hundreds of children and families across New Hampshire and Vermont.
